Baker Mayfield, the Heisman Trophy winner and first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns, has a chance to make history before even taking the field. The rookie quarterback will become just the third player in NFL history to start his career with 3 straight wins.

The cleveland browns record is an article about Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. They have a chance to make franchise history before even taking the field against the Texans in Week 2.

This season, Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns have already established themselves as championship candidates. After coming close to defeating the two-time defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round last season, Cleveland came close to defeating them again in the season opener in 2021.

Their performance in those games shown that they can compete with the best of the greatest, indicating that they may have a really spectacular season this year, something Cleveland supporters haven’t seen since they acquired their club in 1999.

In fact, Mayfield and company have a chance to create club history in Week 2 before ever facing the Houston Texans on the field.

Week 1 was a huge win for the Texans. But don’t be fooled by their performance; they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, who were supposed to be vying for the title of “worst club in the NFL” this year.

The Houston Texans are a terrible team.

As a result, the Texans are not anticipated to win when they go to Cleveland on Sunday to play the Browns, who narrowly fell 33-29 to the defending AFC champion Chiefs in Week 1.

Vegas, on the other hand, does not believe they have a shot.

As of 11:38 a.m. ET on Sept. 17, both FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook list the Browns as 13-point favorites.

So, in essence, Cleveland is projected to win big, and it may create club history even before the game on Sunday.

Before they take the field in Week 2, Cleveland has a chance to create history.

For their game on Sunday, the Browns are now 12.5-point favorites against the Texans.

If that line holds, it will be the biggest margin of victory for the Browns in a game since their return to the NFL in 1999.

The Browns are expected to win easily in Week 2, and as a result, they may be able to do something they haven’t done since their return to the NFL in 1999.

According to a tweet from ESPN’s Field Yates, if the Browns’ -12.5 line remains until kickoff, it will be the most points Cleveland has been favored to win by since their return.

In case you forgot, former Browns owner Art Modell relocated the team to Baltimore in 1996, where the Ravens were born. The NFL, on the other hand, negotiated with Cleveland to bring its franchise back in 1999. The franchise documents and team name were also kept by the city.

The Browns, on the other hand, have been terrible since that 1999 season. They have only made the playoffs once before the 2020 season. In addition, the franchise had just two winning seasons. However, since Cleveland is currently regarded as one of the greatest teams in the NFL, Mayfield and his teammates may enter the game having already made history.

Will the Cleveland Browns be able to stop the Houston Texans from scoring?

Will the Browns be able to cover if the -13 (or -12.5) line holds?

They have a fantastic opportunity to do so.

The Texans’ defense is rated as one of the worst in the NFL this season by Pro Football Focus, and it now faces an explosive Browns attack. In Week 1, Cleveland not only scored 29 points against the Chiefs, but several of its stars also performed well. Baker Mayfield passed for 321 yards and two touchdowns, while Nick Chubb rushed for 83 yards and two more. The Browns also have Kareem Hunt, another dangerous backfield weapon, and a number of guys who can help in the passing game.

The Texans’ offense, on the other hand, is one of the worst in the league this season, with Tyrod Taylor taking over for Deshaun Watson. On the defensive side of the ball, Cleveland boasts Myles Garrett, Anthony Walker, Denzel Ward, and others who are all great players. As a result, Taylor and his companions may have a long day ahead of them.

Houston played well against the Jaguars in Week 1, but the Browns’ playmakers and the Texans’ lengthy list of flaws may lead to a blowout in Cleveland’s favor on Sunday.
