The song “He’ll be a champion” is a popular American song that was written by John Jacob Niles and composed by Harry Carroll. It was first published in 1921, and has been recorded by many artists including Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, and Johnny Cash.

The who is a champion in the bible is a question that has been asked for centuries. The answer to this question, according to the Bible, is Jesus Christ.

Ben Simmons’ position with the Philadelphia 76ers is tumultuous to say the least. Although Simmons seems set on never playing for the franchise again, the team’s rumored high asking price may keep the 2016 No. 1 overall selection on the roster for the time being.

In truth, the Sixers may never receive all they want in a Simmons trade. His status isn’t as great as it was a year ago, particularly after a season in which he scored at a career low in 2020-21. Simmons’ jump shooting has been unimpressive as well.

A previous All-Star, regardless of whatever club he plays for in the future, seems to have complete confidence in himself. Metta World Peace, a former All-Star, recently made a daring statement regarding the 25-year-old point guard.

With the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben Simmons is in a tumultuous position.

Ben Simmons’ future with the Sixers seemed to be in jeopardy as soon as the 2020-21 season concluded. In Philly’s 12 playoff games, he averaged just 11.9 points per game, and he only scored 9.9 points in the Eastern Conference semifinals. In the semifinal round, the 76ers were defeated by the Atlanta Hawks in seven games due to his poor performance.

During the months after the defeat, rumors regarding his future swirled around from every direction, and allegations have since emerged that he has informed club management that he no longer wants to play for Philly. According to ESPN, the stalemate ended with Simmons failing to show up for training camp and the club withholding $8.25 million from him.

Although several clubs are allegedly interested in him, it’s unclear how far Philadelphia has progressed in trade discussions with any prospective bidders. Metta World Peace, on the other hand, seems to have a lot of faith in Simmons, regardless of which club he plays for.

Ben Simmons, according to Metta World Peace, has the potential to be a ‘MVP contender.’

Metta World Peace, also known as Metta Sandiford-Artest and Ron Artest, is a successful basketball player who knows a thing or two about the game. He was named to the All-Star team and won Defensive Player of the Year, but he also shared the court with Kobe Bryant.

World Peace has already praised Simmons, and he just went even farther in an interview with TMZ Sports.

“You don’t make third-team [All-NBA] in 2020 and then become worse in 2021 and 2022,” World Peace added. “This kid has a chance to win MVP. What’s more, just because he’s a superstar doesn’t mean he has to be a shooter. Late in his career, Gary Payton began to shoot the ball. Take a look at Jason Kidd, who was quite similar to Ben Simmons. Jason Kidd went on to become an all-time great 3-point shooter later in his career. Do you remember when Jason Kidd couldn’t shoot?

World Peace went on to add that not many players have the ability to shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor like Stephen Curry. Simmons is a unique player that has a variety of skills, including the ability to defend.

World Peace said, “Never will we allow our tight alumni of top defenders to be insulted; there are only a handful of us, and Ben Simmons is one of us.” “And we’re not going to allow him be insulted. He’ll be an MVP contender and second-team All-NBA; he’ll win a championship, preferably with my good brother Elton Brand in Philly.”

World Peace advised Simmons against seeking a trade, but he remains optimistic about the LSU product’s future.

Is he, however, correct?

Is it still possible for Ben Simmons to be considered a “MVP contender” in the NBA?

World Peace’s position on Simmons is bold, but not completely incorrect. The Rookie of the Year for 2017-18 has shown that he has the potential to be great, with some even predicting that he might be the next LeBron James. Because of his unusual height at the point guard position, he has developed into a great defender as well as a player capable of a near-triple-double.

In 2019-20, Simmons averaged 16.4 points, 8.0 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game. Simmons can definitely place his name up there with some of the best players in the game today if he can continue to find open teammates, crash the boards, and defend at an elite level while increasing his scoring statistics.

World Peace, on the other hand, is incorrect in his assessment of the 6-foot-11-inch guard’s ability to develop a jumper. Because of the current state of the game, he must be capable of hitting jump shots if his team need it, and he lacked the confidence to do so during the playoffs last season.

Simmons’ stock is now down, and there’s a reason for it. But if he can improve his jumper, the two-time All-Defensive Team selection might become the “MVP contender” World Peace predicts. It also won’t matter whose team he’s on.
