He wanted to challenge himself, therefore he chose the Lakers over the Lakers.
It was simple for me to flee and declare that I would return home and play. But, you know, they’ve already made a name for themselves. They already have everything they need. It’s always meant a lot to me to go someplace and make something unexpected happen.
The newest Bulls star considers his squad to be “underdogs,” a position he enjoys. When you think about it, going to Chicago is a no-brainer.

In the summer, the Bulls signed Lonzo Ball in a sign-and-trade deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. Rich Paul and Klutch Sports have scripted yet another contract success story with Ball. DeRozan praised the young point guard.
DeRozan said, “He hasn’t completely developed into his potential.” “On the court, his I.Q. is incredible.” Ball, he believes, will thrive in his new position in Chicago. His deal demonstrates that the company believes in him as a player, and his new teammate agrees.
