Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers lost their first game of the season to a divisional opponent, putting them at 1-2. The Cincinnati Bengals have been hot off a bye week and will look to capitalize on the Packers’ weak performance.

Aaron Rodgers and His Miserable Week 1 Performance Opens the Door for 2 AFC Teams to Become Super Bowl Contenders.

During the Green Bay Packers’ Week 1 defeat, Aaron Rodgers did not look like himself.

In fact, he seemed to be a totally different person. Rodgers was 15-for-28 for 133 yards, two interceptions, and no throwing touchdowns on the day. It’s the worst Rodgers has looked at the quarterback position in his career. He didn’t even come close to resemble the MVP winner from the previous season.

Rodgers, coming off a drama-filled summer, is best described as “disinterested” in Week 1. While this is disappointing news for the Packers, it is a positive development for two AFC clubs.

After all, Aaron Rodgers might be moved.

It’s official: Aaron Rodgers’ career-worst loss came at the hands of the Saints, who defeated him 38-3.

During this year’s offseason, there were a lot of speculations that the Packers might move Rodgers. Despite his outstanding 48 touchdown season, Rodgers expressed his dissatisfaction with the team’s management.

He’s angry at them for selecting his successor in 2020, and he’s even more angry at the clubs’ failure to consistently field a winning squad. The fact that Rodgers was booted in the playoffs by Tom Brady was just the icing on the cake.

Clearly, Rodgers and the Packers were able to come to an agreement in 2021 to cohabit. However, just one game into the season, things seem to be hopeless. Both teams should consider a deal in the middle of the season.

This opens the door for two hungry AFC clubs on the verge of making the playoffs.

The Dolphins and Broncos may be the favorites.

Both the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos are in perilous positions.

Both clubs haven’t made the playoffs in a couple years and are relying on rookie quarterbacks they don’t completely trust. They have win-now defenses, and analysts have referenced both clubs in trade speculations involving high-profile quarterbacks throughout the offseason.

Deshaun Watson has been a target for the Dolphins in Houston. According to reports, the Broncos checked in on Matthew Stafford, Carson Wentz, and — yep — Aaron Rodgers. They’re obviously interested in improving their standing.

Both clubs won their first game of the 2021 season. However, neither club should be ruled out of a massive effort at the trade deadline. Rodgers puts the Dolphins in a tight race with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, while also giving the Broncos a shot in the AFC West against Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert.

Aaron Rodgers needs a new start.

While he looked like one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the league against the Saints, we’re still talking about Aaron Rodgers. He’s a three-time MVP and Super Bowl champion, so it’s not difficult to argue that he’s better than Tua Tagovailoa or Drew Lock/Teddy Bridgewater.

Rodgers is expected to embrace a new start in his quest for a third Super Bowl ring, while the Packers will be able to go on with second-year quarterback Jordan Love.

On paper, it seems to be a win-win scenario. All that’s needed is for the Dolphins or Broncos to get frustrated with their present quarterback predicament. After that, all it would take is a simple phone call and a few draft choices to land the unhappy Rodgers.
